About

Hayley Blackburn holds degrees from Colorado State University (BA, MS, Ph.D.).

Hayley focuses on technical editing and writing practices, audio and video strategies for technical information, and social media for strategic communication. She is currently working with NACADA (a national association for academic advising) to develop video and written materials. Additionally, she frequently volunteers during campus events to contribute to our mountain lion mission. 

During her career in and out of higher education, she has worked in content marketing with social media, public relations, professional development, and student success/advising. In her courses, Hayley focuses on writing, editing, and analyzing multimedia for technical and strategic communication. She is active with the Faculty Resource Center and presented at the Colorado Teaching with Technology Conference about activities leveraging AI and new media. Hayley continues to research and grow as a digital educator and early adopter of many technologies in the field.

She currently teaches courses on professional and technical communication.
